Brew Buddy Toolbox Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026.

This policy covers the Brew Buddy Toolbox Android application provided by My Brewing Buddy. Brew Buddy Toolbox is an independent offline app for brewing calculators, measurement conversions, and reference tables. It does not offer accounts, registration, saved-recipe access, or an AI assistant.

Information handled by the app

Calculations run on your device. The app does not send your calculator inputs or results to My Brewing Buddy or another server. It does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party crash-reporting services, and it does not request Android internet access.

The app stores your appearance preference, default units, and favorite tools in its private storage on your device. It temporarily retains calculator inputs, results, and navigation state so you can move between tools and resume after normal Android activity recreation. It does not maintain a permanent calculation history or recipe library. Temporary state may be restored by Android while a task remains available; simply switching away from the app does not guarantee that the inputs are erased.

Control and retention

Use Clear within a calculator to clear its current inputs and result. If you have used both default-unit modes, each mode can retain its own temporary inputs. Preferences remain until you change them, clear the app’s storage through Android settings, or uninstall the app. Clear storage or uninstall removes the app’s locally stored preferences and state. The app is configured to exclude its data from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.

Copying results

If you tap Copy result, the selected result is placed on the Android clipboard. Android and other apps that you permit to access or paste the clipboard may then handle that text. Clearing a calculator or uninstalling Toolbox does not remove copies you have pasted elsewhere. Toolbox does not read the clipboard.

External websites and services

If you choose to open a website link, Toolbox asks your browser to open that page. The app does not append calculator inputs or results to links. Your browser and the website may handle information such as your IP address, browser details, server logs, or cookies under their own policies. This includes viewing this policy on MyBrewingBuddy.com. The offline copy in the app does not load a web page.

The separate My Brewing Buddy website and application have their own features and privacy practices. This policy covers Toolbox only. Google Play, Android, your device manufacturer, and your browser may independently process installation or diagnostic information under their own policies and settings.

Sharing and security

Toolbox does not collect calculator data on our servers, sell it, or share it with advertisers. App preferences use Android’s private app storage. Protect access to your device using its available security settings.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when Toolbox’s data practices change and revise its effective date. An updated offline copy will be included with an app update. The dedicated public policy page will describe the published policy.
